Our spring project targeted the immediate needs of the Charikaar orphans. We initially surveyed and received feedback from the orphans in needing the most basic livelihood products. The orphans, at Charikaar, had no pillows to sleep on. Their tin-based eating plates and utensils needed to be changed. Although the orphans never complained, it was understandable that this was an immediate and rectifiable need. These unfortunate children were also going to school in their only set of clothes. They desperately needed a new set of school materials and uniforms.
